Dry-charged Battery |
| |
* Take aluminium tape (or small tape on
the plug or the small plug on both sides in case of kamina
type) |
| |
off and fill the battery with eletrolyte
to upper level. |
| |
* After finishing of fill, keep battery
without engine starting for 20 minute so that the filled
electrolyte can |
| |
fully permeate paltes and as a result,
the capability of battery can be fully issued. |
| |
* Because it is difficult for the electrolyte
to permeate plates when the temperature of battery is
low, it is |
| |
effective that battery should be
charged by quick charger, till the temperature is over
20¡É. |
| |
* Adjust electrolyte level. Additionally
fill the battery with electrolyte when electrolyte level
is low. |
| |
* Wipe the electrolyte on the surface of
battery off with distilled water cleanly. |
| |
|
Wet-charged Battery |
| |
* The surface of battery - Wipe battery
off with distilled water if dirty. |
| |
* Level line - Additionally fill the battery
with distilled water and boost charge it if level line
is lower than |
| |
standard. |
| |
* Sp.gr - Boost charge battery if the sp.gr
of electrolyte is low. |
| |
* Terminal - Scrub thing dirty
or oxidation off terminal by using the fine sand paper
or the wire brush. |
| |
|
Electrolyte |
| |
When working with acid, safety precaution
is required as under. |
| |
* The electrolyte should be stored in the
palce which the ground should be treated by frp (acid-resistant
|
| |
concrete) note to be penetrated by
electrolyte released from a vessel. |
| |
* If many battery are handle, protective
clothing is advisable. Keep extreme care to avoid spilling
or |
| |
splashing electrolyte as it can destory
clithing and burn the skin. |
| |
* If electrolyte is splled or splashed on
clothing or the body, it should be immediately neutralized
by |
| |
using a solution of baking
soda or household ammonia and water. |
| |
* Electrolyte splashed into the eues is
extremenly dangerous. if this should happen, force the
eye open |
| |
and flow it with cool, clean water.
