The choice of battery
  * Choose a suitable battery according to kinds of automobile and when especilly change battery, it is
    good using same type as battery used by car maker.
  * Battery should be fitted with the carrier of car and battery of bigger capacity should be used in case that
    automobile has the equipments of heater, airconditioner and other accessories required electricity from
    battery.
  * In this case, charging system of a generator and regulator should be checked for the existence and/or
    nonexistence of abnormal condition at a special treatment shop.
   
The method of removing old battery
  * When taking terminal off, remove the "ground" terminal first.
  * This precaution is to avoid damage to wiring and the battery by accidental "grounds" with tools.
  * Inspect the battery tray for possible damage caused by loss of acid from the old battery.
  * The tray and its holddowns should be mechanically storage and free from corrosion.
  * Corrded parts and cable terminals may be cleaned with water (to which some backing soda has been
    added) by scrubing with a wire brush and corroded parts should be dried.
   
The method of installation new battery
  * After check the condition of carrier of car connector parts, put the carrier with considering the terminal
    position of battery.
  * The battery should levelly rest in the tray. Make certain there is no foreign substance such as loose nut
    or stone lying in the bottom of the tray, because the battery damaged by them causing loss of acid and
    failure.
  * The "grounded" cable should be connected to the battery lastly. check proper battery polarity with
    respect to the vehicle specifications. "ground" polarity is usually indicated.
  * "Reversed" polarity may cause serious damage to electrical system. Note that the positive tapered post
    is large than the negative post.
  * The cable terminals should be cleaned before connecting them to the battery. After the connections
    have been made, apply a thin coating of high temperature grese on the post and cable terminals to retard
    corrosion.
  * Never hammer cable terminals onto battery posts.
  * The cover, undercover post connections or post to cover connections could be severely damaged.
  * Whenever a new battery is installed, a check of the electrical system is recommended.
  * Check to see if starter, alternator and voltage regulator are operating within specifications.
   
The Check of electric circuit
  ¢º The check of battery connection
  * Chexk the joining condition of the negative post of battery and the earth cable of automobile.
  * The condition of battery post and cr cable is normal if the indication of battery tester is over 12v when
    negative post of a voltmeter or battery tester is connected with chassis or an engine, and positive cable
    of them is connected with positive post of battery.
   
  ¢º The check of electrical circuit leakage
  * Arter take car negative cable off, connet negative cable of voltmeter or battery tester with negative post of
    battery, and connect car negative cable with positive cable of voltmeter or battery tester.
  * At this time, if the indicator show 0 volt, a electric leakage circuit to discharge battery is composed.
    So, seek leakage cause and treat it.
   
  ¢º The check of charging circuit
  * Normal : When start engine and keep it under the condition of no delivering or receving power (open
    circuit rotation, abt 2,500rpm), charging ramp is off or the indicator of amperemeter is to be close to "0"
    after it waver to "+" direction violently.
  * Abnormal : If charging ramp is not off or the indicator of amperemeter is to be close to "-" direction
    after start engine and keep it under open circuit rotation of abt 2,500rpm, check the loosened condition of
    fan belt, setting voltage of regulator and a generator condition etc.
   
    If the indicator of amperemeter keep continuously its condition after the indication waver to "+" direction
    violently when start engine and keep it under open cir-cuit rotation of abt 2,500rpm, check whether a
    setting voltage of regulator is high or battery is over-charged.
